Valdés, Suárez & Velasco acted as local legal counsel to a Development Financial Institution (DFI), in the project finance of a photovoltaic power generation project comprised of eight plants with a total capacity of 22.6 MW, which included advice of local energy regulatory laws, lender’s rights, due diligence of the borrower, structuring of security package, drafting of all local security guarantees, review of project documents (PPAs, EPC, Distribution Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, etc), review of foreign documents and various legal issues for the financing of $45 Million Dollars.
